About us
Salt Flats A Cappella is the University of Utah's only student-run a cappella group. We're a registered student organization on campus, completely student-run.
We're a mixed group from all over campus, and many of us aren't music majors. What we have in common is our commitment to music, a cappella, and sharing our vocal talents with the Salt Lake community.
Every year we compete in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (as seen on Pitch Perfect), and we put on two full concerts on campus, one in December and one in the spring. The rest of the year we sing wherever people will have us: campus events, weddings, holiday parties, fundraisers.
We're a nonprofit
Salt Flats A Cappella Foundation is a Utah nonprofit corporation and a 501(c)(3) organization. Our goal is to provide our university and community with great a cappella music, and foster the skills and opportunities for our group. All funds collected go towards music supplies, travel to competitions and music events, and our bi-annual shows.
